Dr. Anthony Murray
Dr Murray specialises in the delivery of the highest quality subspecialty care in hip and knee replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery of the knee including cartilage and meniscus pathology, and orthopaedic trauma surgery.
Dr Murray has particular interest in utilising and pioneering the latest technology and research including Direct Anterior Approach hip replacement, Kinematic Alignment Augmented Reality Knee Replacements, Radiofrequency Ablation, Patient Specific Instrumentation and Robotics.
He has operated with world renowned Hip and Knee Replacement and Trauma specialists at prestigious locations across Australia and Europe including Switzerland, United Kingdom and Italy.
Dr Murray is a member of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Asia Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society
As Australia’s first Indigenous Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Anthony Murray also participates actively in the Indigenous community and healthcare space.
Raised in Far North, Central and South-East Queensland, he completed medicine at James Cook University in Townsville. He received his Fellowships to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and to the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2021.
