Dr. Anthony Murray
Dr. Murray is a Bundaberg Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the delivery of the highest quality subspecialty care in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay for hip and knee replacement surgery, and arthroscopic surgery of the knee including cartilage and meniscus pathology.
Dr. Murray has a passion for minimally invasive surgery, utilising and pioneering the latest technology and research including Direct Anterior Approach Hip Replacement, Kinematic Aligned Patient Matched Total Knee Replacement, Augmented Reality and Robotic Hip and Knee Replacements, and Radiofrequency Ablation.
He has operated with world renowned Hip and Knee Replacement and Trauma Specialists at prestigious locations locally and internationally across Australia and Europe including Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Italy.
Dr. Murray is a member of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Asia Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society.
As Australia’s first Indigenous Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Murray also participates actively in the Indigenous community and health care space.
Raised in Far North, Central and South-East Queensland, he completed Medicine at James Cook University in Townville. He received his Fellowships to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and to the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2021.
Dr. Murray and his family call Bundaberg home, and they are a part of the vibrant growing community of the Wide Bay.
